I have been doing some research about doing some big game hunting in Alberta next year. From what I gather you must either hire a guide or apply with a "hunter host". I don't have money (or desire) to pay for a guide, so I was wondering if some guys just volunteer to be hunter hosts or if you have to know someone. I would really like to find someone to host me for a moose or muley hunt. Am I correct about the hunter host situation? Any info would be appreciated.
