Went out with recurveman, Nevadaboy and ELKOHUNTER this last week and got a few horns. Things started out slow but picked up on the last day. First day I went out with ELKOHUNTER who blew a hole in his boot and when we got back to the truck he had a chunk of ice in the boot hole.
Daisy and Scarlette found a dead buck which ended up being a spike.
Here they are bringing me the deadhead.
Daisy found this antler partially in a melted snow puddle and half buried in the snow.
The next day recurveman found a nice 4-point but we only came out with two antlers a piece.
On our last day four of us went out hunting and came out with 26 antlers. I personally started out finding this fawn and 10 feet away was an old three point shed. I couldn't get an as they lay pic because the dogs always get them before I can take a picture.
Nevadaboy and recurveman ran into some tall sagebrush and deep mud so they took turns carrying each other around with a better vantage point.
At the end of the day we went home to my house where Mrs. fatrooster had a big ole pot of spagetti waiting for us. Heres our last day of antlers. From left to right is recurveman, Nevadaboy, ELKOHUNTER and fatrooster. The best looking one of us all is Daisy the yellow dog.
