HUNTING GAS CANS 2 !!!

Thought I'd clue you all in on the Hunting Containers/JUGS I ended up Buying after the Discussion We all had on the First "HUNTING GAS CANS' Thread!

I Bought 8 of them & out of the 8 of them 4 of them are JUNK!

There's a Free 4 Gallons of Gas on the Newer Paved Book Cliffs Road if you can gather it up!

Bought the VP Jugs!

WAFJ!

1/2 of them/50%/4 out of 8 are Leakin SOB's!

Just thought I'd pass the Info on!

Evidentally NO QUALITY Control?

Or maybe more CHINA Built F'N JUNK?

I've been using these VP jugs for 8+ years and have never had one leak....ever! Screw the lids down tight and go. I have driven 800 miles from my house at 10 feet elevation to 9,000 feet elevation and still no leaks and they had built up some pressure.

The Manufacturer (VP) is suppose to be sending me 4 more New Jugs!

You can screw the Round Lid down on the Oblong Neck with a Ridgid 36 if You'd Like!

They Still Leak!

Them are the Exact Same Jugs I bought as in the Link You Posted!

Seems as if a little Quality Control would be worth something these days?

I tried buying some of those with the swiveling spout on the bottom that someone posted a link to in the other thread.....they can sell them to 49 states and the District of Columbia....but by god...not to Kalifornia. WTF do I stay here????

I have been considering designing something similar but have not done it. Got rear-ended a couple of times in the past three years. Don't want to get hit again on the way out of town while using a gas container as a rear bumper.

I wanted to make mine high enough that is wasn't going to get hit. If they hit that I have a lot of problems. I did make mine so I could get in the camper. It is made so I have a step to get into the camper. I am also planning that once I get off road I plan to put the gas in ASAP that way I take the weight off the mount.

elkassassin, should have bought the SureCan fuel cans! You can rest them on the handle bars so you don't have hold the can while you fill. Also they are super durable and won't leak.
