Hunting Fish Underwater

Anyone like to hunt fish underwater, aka pole spearing or using a Hawaiian sling? I did this quite a bit as a kid, and as soon as I get in the water my desire never fades. It's like archery hunting underwater but with multiple targets!

I never got into it because our water is cold and visibility is usually very limited with strong currents, but I think it would be awesome. Hunting is hunting!

I have done some diving around Monterey - you’re right it’s freezing cold and cloudy. But at least it’s loaded with sharks and seals. ? The seals follow you around waiting for you to shoot something.

I’ve shot a few fish. Love it, but land hunting is another category all together.

I never had too much trouble with sharks while spearing, I did have a barracuda take a real nice hogfish off my spear, pissed me off because hogfish are premium eating.
