Hunter Mentor Program at work

Took my grandsons, Carter and Shane out for their first hunt. They are both 6. They got single shot Savage Rascals for Christmas in 2013 and have been practicing. The time was right.

After a fair amount of walking, each boy got a shot at a cottontail and each made a perfect shot. It couldn't have worked out better!

On the way home I heard them talking in the back of my crew cab:

Shane: I love hunting. It's my most favorite thing! What's your favorite thing Carter?

Carter: My favorite thing is hanging out with Grandad!

Shane: That's the same thing, right Carter?

I love those boys!!

Awesome job.
Our Mentored Youth program up here allows the youth, accompanied by you, to hunt on your tag. Pretty good deal for 9-13 age kids.
