hunt pod vs outdoorsman

For those of you which have played around with both tripods, which do you prefer the Hunt Pod or the Outdoorsmans? I already have a good Manfrotto but it is just so darn heavy on the long hikes. Any info would be appreciated.

if you have money to burn the "outdoorsman" with a "jim white head".I have the SLIK 614 base with the JW head,alot lighter than the outdoorsman,esp if you pack it~Danny

Are you saying that you can only use the Outdoorsmans tripods with the heads that they sell? I was under the impression I could the heads from Manfrotto that I already have.

No, I did not say that.I bought my jim white head at :coueswhitetail.com,I have never used the Manfrotto head,but when I was looking for better heads, the jim white was at the top of the list ~Danny

Which tripod provides the most solid platform for a 80mm Swaro ATS the Slik 614 or the Med. Outdoorsman. I would put the Jim White head on both of them.
