Picked up on 2/9/2012. My brother and I had been watching this buck real close for a long time. Although we did not ?directly? see his antlers fall off, we saw him right before and after. We were really close to seeing it! His left side was on the ground for 1-hour and his right side was on the ground for 2-hours. They are more massive than we originally thought! Check out the mass around the G-4?s. By far the biggest sheds I've ever found and even the biggest deer antlers I've ever held! Pictured are my brother and his wife.

Now for the sad news, they are for sale. For me, watching him for so long and then being able to pick up both sides has been an awesome experience. I'm like a lot of you guys, I love big mule deer and would love to keep them but lately I haven't been providing very well for my family so I'm going to sell them to help with bills.

I post very rarely but I've been an avid reader of these forums for many years so I know there will be some guys that will assume that we had to have done something illegal in order to pick them up so fast, but honestly we were just sitting back and watching like usual and once the buck dropped them, we waited for him to walk away. He was not bothered. And yes I have my shed hunting permit.

I'm in southern Utah but I'll be in Salt Lake this weekend or they could be packaged up and shipped anywhere. These antlers are very fresh, very big and in great condition. Let me know if you're interested, Luke Beaumont (435) 310-0595.

DANDYS FOR SURE! Awesome. To bad you cant hang on to em. I have sold 1000's and 1000's of sheds, but always keep the better stuff. I'd keep those! Awesome!

Sorry if I'm offending people with this next statement, because I know I'm offended myself, but because I need the money, I'm just going to sell them the the highest bidder at the end of the week and be done with it.

I finally got him scored again and I now feel comfortable posting the score. As you can tell from the last two pictures, I think I got the outside and inside spread really close. 34" even on the outside and 25 1/8" on the inside. 25 5/8" on the longest main beam. The first time I scored him I got 207 1/8". The second time I got 206 5/8".

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-12 AT 06:11PM (MST)[p]Dude I dream of picking up sheds like that. Sheds like those dont come easy. A truly once in a lifetime find.

Just wondering...... What are you asking for them?

The "offended" thing I'm talking about is I feel like I'm selling out. Kinda like someone calling mossback when they find a big bull to collect a finders fee, instead of telling a good friend where the bull is. It's been a hard dicision for me to make and I'm sure there are plenty of shed hunters that believe I shouldn't sell such a rare find. I don't know how to pm someone, I only know how to reply so pm me if you'd like to know how much i've been offered.

Great sheds,if you can live with selling them go for it,they belong to you,if they can help you through a tough time more the better. If I sold them Id regret it the rest of my life,a set like that would be once in a lifetime if you found them up here.

great envy!

Just curious. Not about this specific set, but what does a 200" set sell for? I seriously have no idea, so I'm just curious at a ball park number.

I think it just comes down to the eye of the beholder. My personal opinion I would think $1.50-$2.50 an inch so somewhere between $300-$500, but from the sound of it someone really wanted this set as I heard it went for quite a bit more.
