How many times?

The line I usually get is, "if I had horns on my head, would you stay home more often?"
gotta love 'em though, never complains, just likes to give me crap.

Have a little spat with the wifey? Ha ha dani never says that to me, but she knows if i have a free day... she wont see me :)

Dude I know who you are! and in your case I could see how your wife might wonder about that on occasion. LOL! But truthfully, she's a woman and thats how they are programed to operate. You gotta play the game with them ahead of time, as hard as it is this time of year, you gotta make them feel like a queen and then once they've taken the bait, just say, "Oh by the way you wouldn't mind if I went shed hunting on my free time this spring." If you've played your cards right, she cannot say no. I'm all lined up to go shed hunting, Iknocked out the biggest thing on the 2009 honey-do list first and that was getting a new kitchen put in the house. Now if that ain't a kitchen pass to do what I want for the next year or two, than I don't know what is! We'll have to get together and plan a trip out to find some bone! Didn't get to go this weekend due to weather and a few projects left around the house. I'm heading out for sure tomorrow all day to see what I can turn up!But to answer your question, My wife has used that very same line on me a few times for shed, deer and elk hunting and I just tell her "It's only once a year that I get to do these things honey" She always rolls her eyes but inside, she knows I deserve free time too.LOL

Unfortunatley... she is ok with it when archery rolls around but then I hunt duck.. trap.. many others... then comes the shed hunting and shes had it! I keep telling her she found me that way and if she doesnt like it to go find something else... but she is still here! One day the "go find something else" will come to be.. and it will suck but im sure ill be seeing a lot more antlers!

a buddy of mine is getting married in june. he asked his wife what she wanted to do for a honey moon and she said take a shed hunting trip. i'd call that a keeper. i don't get yelled at for shed hunting but when summer comes around and i'm gone for work 4-14 days at a time and then go fishing as soon as i get home, i usually get it pretty bad:)

Man, I tried everything to get my girl excited about shed hunting. I even would find an antler and bite my tongue and walk right past it so she could find it. If there were antlers every 10 feet I think I could get her to go...as it is, notta.

My wife is usually out in front of me "her pack mule" on every hike. This time of year she is out scoutin and picking up bone while I have to work! We hiked 320 miles together last year!!!

Time in the hills is always worth more than money

THATS GOOD STUFF... ithink we all hear it once and a while but it is what i call my therapy.. and unless she wants me to go insane then i most certainly need a lot more therapy...
