About one third of my shots have been from a kneeling position. Practice is mandatory as the change of position does affect form which in turn affects point of impact. Even though I regularly practice from a kneeling position, my maximum shot on a nonwounded animal is 10 or 15 yds less than it would be from a standing position. I've done enough shooting that I've seen how group size is affected. I also do alot of practice from a sitting position as my evening hunts are usually from a cound blind (pit blind). Some days kneeling is more accurate, others sitting is. In any event, neither are as productive for me as standing.
