Wild Antler Magic, or
Coffee Grounds, or
Off-white enamel base followed by the right mix of black, brown, and yellow acrylic paints (assuming you have artistic ability closer to my buddy's than mine).
What about the earth stains that are already on the antler? Do I need to do something with it to make it all the same color before applying the WAM?
Thanks,
Matt
the wam will work great on that shed you probably wont have to do anything to that natural stain but if you want the wam kits come with fine sand paper so just sand the stain off a little bit! good luck
If there are no cracks and the shed is still "hard white" you could always just do what the bull would do. Go find a young sapling then proceed to destroy it (by the time you're done you'll kill the tree). Find a wallow get the shed covered in mud or rub dirt on it, then go back to the trees. It takes a while and by the time you're done your arms will be jello but it should look good.
I have done the same thing that Yoyak talked about but first I take animal blood and paint it on the antler then do the rubbing of a young sapling. On antlers that I strip the velvet off then rub the willow on them it looks great. The sapling gives the antler a great smell also.

I'm scared of needles! You do get funny looks when you go to a meat locker and ask them if you can have a couple cups of blood. I learned that in taxidermy school. Gives the bone a darker base color than bare white horn and it doesn't take as long to color the antler with rubbing it with willows or dirt or what ever you use. Works!
