How’s the monsoon been?

Curious as to how much precipitation there has been this season. Myself and some friends head to Old Mexico each January chasing Coues bucks and the summer monsoon seem to be an important part of the water equation.

It’s been a little gnarly up north. Downright cold and crappy around the 4 corners.

Flash flooding at Havasu Canyon strands hundreds of tourists; Arizona National Guard deployed for rescue

A flash flooding at the Havasu Canyon area has left hundreds of tourists stranded and in need of rescue. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service said the area received an inch to two inches of rain within the timespan of an hour to an hour and a half.

Between Tucson and Phoenix, the last month or so, it’s one area gets some rain and the adjoining area doesn’t. We haven’t got much. I see clouds everyday, have hope, look at radar, have hope, and it ends up a miss. I’ve had to give my saguaros several drinks. At least we haven’t had the damaging winds of some past monsoon haboobs.

From the NOAA link’s I’ve found it looks spotty but about average.
Little more time, every bit helps.
