Would Prohibit:

(A) Specified geographic locations defined 1 by a universal coordinate system for the purpose of 2 locating any specific previously scouted big or trophy game 3 animals; or

B) Maps, drawings, illustrations or any 6 other documents for the purpose of showing the location 7 within five hundred (500) meters of any specific previously 8 scouted big or trophy game animals.

Looks like the outfitters association and G&F got a little sore when they saw money going into the publics pocket. God forbid an outfitter loses a client over something like this...wtf... Cash me ouside, howbowdat?

AKA The "Founder's" bill

Is this the one that everybody in Wyoming is calling the FOUNDER'S BILL? What's that mean?

RE: AKA The "Founder's" bill

I was a little late to the party and saw this topic had already been posted, my bad. Founder, the guy in charge of monstermuleys, was helping hunters by doing this last year.

RE: AKA The "Founder's" bill

Not sure one can blame them for using their money and connections to try and kill any possible competition. I'm sure if they could swing it, they'd like to see anyone with a tag have to hire a guide.

It'll be interesting to see what more I can learn about this.

RE: AKA The "Founder's" bill

I love Wyoming for its hunting, its been very good to me, but the one thing I hate is the non-resident/wilderness law and the apparent influence the industry has. I would love to go on a guided hunt in the Teton Wilderness, but when I think about this law it just pisses me off, and I don't like the idea of rewarding the very people that have enacted the law.

United States is supposed to be a free country. I hope this bill fails to pass.

RE: AKA The "Founder's" bill

Be very careful what you wish for!

Yes, WYOGA is probably to blame for the wilderness rule of years past and present, and yes, they are probably to blame for the "founder" bill but they're also the ONLY ones who stand up for non-resident hunters against a vastly reduced tag split. It will be an ongoing fight so take care with whom you bed!

Be very careful indeed.

Hey Zeke! You need your memory refreshed a little regarding MOGA! They were the ones pushing the change from 60% down to 40% for the Regular Draw for NRs to make it 60% for the Special Draw just like the Bill that is in the hopper this Legislative session! Yes, they were instrumental against the Bill that would have cut the big three tags from 20% to 10% for NRs. However, the only reason for those two moves was for their own good seeing as they figure with more people drawing tags in the Special Draw they will get a bigger share of guys signing up with them. The same with the other Bill because it would have cut the tags their customers would draw in half and would have bit them in the pocketbook. Make no mistake about it, as they are only out for themselves and nobody else!
