Hornady 135gr FTX

Thought I'd share my findings…

First time I have recovered one of these pills. This is 135gr ftx from my 30-30 at 2550fps

Whitetail at 130yd entering the crease between the neck and shoulder and found under the hide of opposite shoulder. Definitely took some bone head-on and kept on trucking. Definitely did a fair amount of damage on its way through.

Finished product weighs in at 79.0 gr

Ima thinking this is somewhat the norm for a non-bonded cup & core?

Any idea of impact velocity?? 2300+
