Yep - that is definitely the work of WTF. I left them when they elected elkun as the new chapter president. There were talks of trying to introduce snappers into some of the western waters, but all serious turtle sportsmen realize that that is just an ecological disaster waiting to happen. Rumors like that were the exact reason I left.

Looks like Eel has done some scouting this year though. Sent me this pic from a recent trip. Looks like he certainly has had both length and girth on his mind:

Wow. Looks like that will be a very challenging hunt. Just Eel's speed though.
