hey littlefoot and browtine.......stained rack

After reading your post littlefoot I had to do my Caribou from this year and Browtine thanks for the tip and know how.
I ended up buying what you said to use but I got it in the gel since that's all they had.Anyhow here's the results.
First pic is my bou out in the field,now wait till that velvet comes off.

And the next two are of my bestfriend that I had fly up for the hunt.Are they white or what?

One last shot out of velvet.Yep! Thats me holding it up.I also found that big shed behind it during this hunt.

Next few pics are after I stained it.It's still a little tacky in some spots,but I think it turned out great for my first staining.

Dan, that turned out awesome!!! Thats a big bou also.. Congrats. Man, I sure like the hard horn vs. the velvet..way to go man. I am glad it all worked out..the stain job looks perfect.

Dude ya got me all fired up now.I was just telling the wife about a knife I had knapped and an old mule deer shed I had made for the handle and I want to stain it......Hahahhaa! she said who ever told me about the stain created a monster.

Seriously tho' thanks for the kudos and help,now I need to find a spot on the wall for it.Oh! I was just surfing MM and see where ya'll are asking "guess what it scores",well this is the first animal I ever had scored (SCI) so ya'll take a guess.Daniel

Thanks alot littlefoot.Yeah! I have quite a few sheds and racks to do now(winter project's)My 6 year old was staining one in between me rubbing mine down,I'll get that posted after awhile.Daniel
