Hey guys, what's up with the deer?

Thought I'd pop in and ask how you fellow stickflippers are doing this year around the Front. I know some of you are DH's, and are probably smokepoling right now.

Does it seem that there are much fewer bucks this year? I'm logging a crapload of miles, have had some great stalks on some little guys, but all in all there appear to be a dearth of does!

Seen more bucks this year than in the past 5 years combined. My wife tried archery for the first time and there was no end of bucks to be found... central utah unit. She missed big ones, small ones and lots in between (after her 8th clean miss she finally realized she had been forgetting to look through the rear peep! LMAO... buck fever!) Once that was figured out she nailed the next one she shot at so she was happy to end it.

Most were yearling bucks but a surprising number of 3x3, 3x4 and 4x4's... and one dandy 27" nontypical. Now if most of those can survive the seasons to grow till next year it will be really nice.

Dallan, that's great to hear. Perhaps the area I am in is just an anomaly. I was really starting to worry about recruitment, due to the lack of mature breeding bucks.
