The Jane Hathaway thing got me wondering what ever happened to Elly May Clampett. Back in the day there wasn't a teenaged boy who didn't dream of Elly May. She could shoot, wrestle, throw, and was dang hot.

Of course her real name was Donna Douglas and here is what she did post Hillbillys.
"Donna did a few guest spots throughout the 1970s and even attempted a career as a gospel-country singer. But her claim to fame rested in reruns and reunions of "the Beverly Hillbillies"

Donna Douglas was married to my buddy and friend Butch Douglas. He was a #1 linebacker at San Diego St. Only 5-10 185 lbs, you can imagine that he was/is one tough ombre. I see him all the time, he collects colt handguns, likes to shoot buff, and i never tire of his Elly May stories.

One more thing to highjack this thread with. I loved that show. Really like a lot of the old shows out of that era. I would be more inclined to watch a re-run of Beverly Hillbills than just about any current running prime time program. They were just good clean fun. And they didn't have to do it with toilet humor like they do nowadays....not that I'm pure as the windriven snow but it is nice to not have to muffle the kids' ears and explain something off color every ten seconds.
