Ford 6.7L CP4 Fuel Pump Failures Cause Lawsuit

A Ford CP4 fuel pump lawsuit alleges the pumps cannot handle U.S. diesel fuel specifications, something Ford allegedly knew when the trucks were first sold. The proposed class-action lawsuit includes all 2011-present Ford 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel trucks equipped with CP4 fuel injection pumps.

A CP4 on a Chevy/GM Fails just like it does on a Ford!

Not Sure if the Brand New Trucks are Running CP3's now or not?

On the CP4's the Piston/Roller Bearing Turns because there is nothing to keep it from not turning & You're out 8-10K!

I would be surprised if CP3s are in great use as they offer less fuel mileage, from what I have read.

I have a couple here and there. I hope the 2020 has the upgraded system/pump. If not, on to a FASS system.

I have a dog in this fight, and I hope Ford is held to account. Ford is pretty draconian when it comes to warranty stuff. I just replaced all the leaking fittings on my secondary cooling system lines. A Ferd defect that cost me $1000.

We just went thru 3 weeks of exploratory surgery and 2 throttle bodies on wifey's ecoboost. I won't buy another one if I have any more big issues.
