Help - Squirrels eatting antlers

I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer. The tree squirrels in my yard are devouring my shed antler collection I have hanging on my fence. I am looking for a way to keep them from eatting the antlers. I have tried staining the antlers thinking they may not like the taste. But they keep at it. Short of lead poisoning, does anyone have a solution to my problem?
Thank You
Bill

You have squirrel problems and I have Mole problems. I borrowed a pellet rifle and everyday wait that that sucker to stick his head out, but never does it when I'm around.
Don't know about that Dacon Rat stuff, but it is worth a try, good luck.
Oh, by the way, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.
Haven't seen your father-in-law in a few months, he can't handle the Pork dinners at the Eagles but he should be ready for Jan. feed of Chicken and Polenta feed.

I don't know how well this would work, but put a coat of fiber glass resin on them, they might not like chewing on it.

Just hire some kid that has a lot of time on his hands, and have a small reward for every squirrel killed.

Claymores...Claymores work best, not bouncing betty's...to much radial and circumficial fragmentation...may piss off the neighbors. Sorry, just a little flashback.

Go down to Lowe's and buy a case of Victor Rat traps and put them on the runways!!!! Use peanutbutter and grain for bait.

try that stuff that you pour on fences to keep horses from cribbing. Shouldn't change the appearance and tastes really bitter.

Thanks everyone

I should of made it clear that I do not want to get rid of the tree squirrels. It's nice to watch them running around the yard, I'm just getting tired of them eatting the old antlers. I will try the cribbing paint as D13er suggested and an owl decoy.

Antlerman, these are old sheds and skulls that were already chewed, broken, or old and white. The nice ones are in the garage. The old ones just decorate the fence.

Happy Holidays everyone

Bill
