Help for disabled hunter?

Hey guys my uncle just got called and told that he got a Bookcliffs deer tag. He was in a mining accident about 8 years ago where he suffered a severe brain injury. since than he got some of his mobilty back but still suffers from impared mobilty and loss of brain capacity. Long story short i have heard of a extened season if someone has some of these issues. does anyone know what the exact requirments are to to get the extended season?

not positive but it sounds like to me he would qualify for the extended hunt, i would call the dwr and ask them. good luck on the hunt you should see plenty of bucks.

A couple of other guys have posted on here having a late BC tag for a disabled hunter, which runs from 10/28-11/6.

It would be worth checking into my friend. He could probably scratch out a decent buck in some of the old family hide-outs!

Go to the dwr office and get a dr. statement for his physician to fill out. When you return it to the dwr, they will have him complete some forms to put in their system. Then he will get a extension permit, and a permit to shoot from a vehicle.

Thanks for the help guys went and got the applications yesterday and looks like he will get his extension. Should be a awesome hunt and little bighorn you are right since the season books closed this will only be our second deer tag as a family down there so we will soak it up.
