LAST EDITED ON Jul-09-11 AT 04:01PM (MST)[p]Arizona Outdoor Adventures is an excellent organization that focuses on getting inner city kids out into nature to enrich their lives and give them an appreciate of the outdoors. They have a camp for the kids in the White Mtns and the Wallow fire went right through and destroyed just about everything they had at this camp. They lost truck campers, tents, sleeping bags, cots, coolers, and just about anything related to camping you can think of.

AZ Outdoor Adventures has been hosting these FREE camps for kids for the last 15 years. Dan Priest had just finished setting the camp up for this year when he was told they had to evacuate. After the fire they came back and realized they lost everything.
If you want to help this organization you can do so in several ways.
Option 1
The Glendale Cabela's store has generously donated several Alaskan Guide tents and other gear to AOA to begin the replenishment process. They are also offering a discount July 22-24 to anyone interested in purchasing camping gear to donate to Arizona Outdoor Adventures. Representatives from AOA will be at the store from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day to collect these donations. AOA Fundraiser Casino Night benefiting Arizona Outdoor Adventures

AOA has been generously provided with a "Matching Gift Offer" for contributions received from July 10 to July 30, 2011. If you've not contributed before, this would be a wonderful opportunity to double the effectiveness of a generous gift! CouesWhitetail.com just donated $200 to this organization and that will be matched so it will have the effect of being a $400 donation.
