Was just wondering what the heaviest (poundage) elk shed that people had found??

That I have found 14# 12oz. The set scores 393
I saw a shed that weighed 16 pounds in the front window of a store over in the black hills of Wyoming. There are some high fence bulls that shed 25+pounds each side!

Time in the hills is always worth more than money

Heaviest I ever found was a 14lb 7pt that was 2 years old from a 380-390 class bull. I bought one last year that is an honest 17lbs from here in AZ. Crazy fat mass, 32-34" of it if I remember correctly. STUBBY antler and way cool! The match to it was 16lbs and the G-3 was snapped clean off. One of my favorites for sure.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-23-08 AT 11:45PM (MST)[p]Personally the biggest sheds I've ever found was a 11.6 lbs. left and an 11.2 lbs. right from a 366 inch Bull, but I was able to hold a 22 lbs. right side from a 424 inch wild bull that came from Manitoba Canada.

A guy showed me pics of an antler that he found in Colorado. He claims it to be 30 lbs. They found it in a creek bed. He thinks that it actually has sediment inside.

I have a friend who found a huge 7 point that weighs in at 17 pounds. He had it scored by the "Shed record book" guys at 193. They figured with a matching side the bull would be in the 426" range.
