We're leaving Halloween Day. Spend Halloween at the Virgin River Casino in Mesquite, NV. Then, spend 10 days drinking ice-cold Budweiser. Errrrr, ummmmmm, I mean hunting for big bucks in unit 33!!! Can't wait to get out of Tijuana. Oops, I meant Woodlake.. pc

I meant it when I said you had better not pass Palisade without stopping to have a beer with me. Seriously, If you need a bed or showers just ask.

Beanman, make that a home cooked dinner with the beer and you might have a hard time getting rid of P.C.

RELH

I'm leaving early morning the 31st plan on making it to spanish fork for the night then finishing the drive the next morning.Good Luck to everyone

Leaving on the 31st also, I guess a bunch of us are heading to Colorado to stimulate the states economy.

Some of you need better driving directions though.

Road construction in and around Vegas is stupid farked up!

Good luck to everyone.

Paul, you have my cell number......

We will be leaving in the morning, after a quick stop at NVBs house for some beer, then on to SLC just in time for the Monday morning traffic.

Good luck Paul, i expect success pics!!

I try to pass through SLC in off commute hours if at all possible. It really sucks if theres any weather.

I hate ANY big city anywhere, so I try to plan my route around them.

I do not do traffic. Besides, the scenic route is mostly awesome! Lots of game along the route to get you ready for the hunt.

I guess it's just the bumpkin in me, but I go to Tonapah, Ely, and Delta......spend the night in Scipio, hit Grand Junction and on into Kremmling. 2 day trip.... cake.

I try not to loiter in Utah......too many guys on here that don't appreciate my attempts at "Utah humor". But......... "I God Woodrow, it's a beautiful piece of the country!"

Grand Junction is big, but it seems kind of laid back and it is where we buy EVERYTHING we need for the trip, so I don't mind going there.

Feeling kind of energetic this season, so I might buy an OTC bull tag.

There must be a lot of leftovers, since they sent me a letter, saying, to the effect that, "since you will be here anyway hunting deer, you might just as well hunt bull elk also"......of course, they didn't mention that it was another $575.00 gamble!

DRIVE SAFE......HAVE FUN.....GOOD LUCK!

Slammy,

PC still owes me pictures from last year in CO, so don't hold your breath......LOL

Greg, we'll be staying at The Red River Inn in Silt. I have a 2012 Dodge Ram. Mineral grey. The other rig is a white Toyota with a camper shell.

I was in unit 33 in 2008. After our hunt we came down to Glenwood Springs to get a room and shower and get a good meal before we headed home.

I asked the hotel clerk where the best steak in town was. She told me Juicy Lucy's. I had a hard time convincing the other guys it was a steak house and not a titty bar with a name like that! Good steak though! :9

I live in Meeker, Moved there a year ago from Billings MT. Let me know how you do on your hunt. This is my first time hunting this unit. HAd a little scouting earlier but not what I wanted. I cant complain since I drew it on a second choice.

Just curious how you and your party did in unit 33. Hopefully better than me, with the warm weather I did not fare very well.

It was tough, but my son, Will, killed a toad. 4x4. Not really wide, 24", but high and heavy. Very heavy. I missed a dandy 3x3, plus let two others get away on Coulter Mesa. NO ELK!! 5 cow and 3 bull tags unfilled!! PC

No worries, I understand. I took the Budweiser to a party and now it won't go stale. I love my microbeer.

Gentlemen, remember patience is a virtue. lol I'm slow in technological stuff. Ask Nickman. He's always giving me $hit about not having a cell phone. Brian, as soon as I get those pics I'll get them to you. pc

Remember his camera has the little birdie in it like on the flintstones.
