Handguns during archery hunt?

Hi everyone, going to be doing some archery in ID for the first time and was wondering what the laws in Idaho are concerning carrying a handgun during the archery season.

In NV we are not allowed to have it on us and it must remain at camp at all times. I assume maybe since ID has a few more predators than they do in NV they might allow you. Anyone know the rule?

Yes it's totally legal to carry a handgun in Idaho!

My very good friend who is Fish and Game clarified that Idaho is a right to carry state and this is totally legal. You have the right to protect yourself, in his words.
