Hand-made bows

I recently made a hand made red oak long bow it is 5 1/2 feet tall with quite a bit of spring to it, wat do u think of deer hunting with that and some homemade arrows that are properly made?

I have two friends that exclusively hunt with "self Bows" as they are called. I helped Craig cut a stave for one of them. He is really into it. Both have taken multiple animals with these bows. The arrows? They don't actually make the shafts but buy these and put them together with turkey feather fletching. I have hunted with them and have seen one guy take a Caribou, and the other guy take two mulies.
