Do not worry. This country was founded on the sights of firearms. Your right to own and carry will always be there. Especially if you get involved with a gun rights organization. Now mind you (I am an NRA as well as a member of my local state gun rights group) these groups tend to portray a doom and gloom outlook on our gun rights. But you can not blame them. If they do not put a sence of urgency on their claims then they are less effective in gaining membership and money for our cause.
I agree, the anti gun people can go to he##.
They are all communist, scocialist etc...
Look at Karl Marks' maifesto. One of the first things he talks about is gaing control of the people's weapons.
