YOU REALLY NEED THE NADS TO BLOCK OFF A ROAD OR TWO & DENY ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC HERD.....THIS WILL BE EASY BECAUSE THERE ARE 25 HUNTER HELPERS IN YOUR GAME POSSE. BEEN THERE /SEEN THAT IN NEW MEXICO........YD.

To answer your question, starting 2010 Utah State Government will now require you to have a guides license. There is a test for this and is administered through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing http://www.dopl.utah.gov/ Of course there is a fee with this and it will be required to guide on all public lands. This is not the case on private lands for example CWMUs, those who guide exclusively on private land will not be required to have a guides license. There is also an outfitteres license and exam that if passed will also give you the piece of paper that says you are licensed as a guide.

Good Luck

You are better off being a guide working with an outfitter as apposed to the outfitter as you will be required to show proof of insurance. Good luck, JB

To be a guide, you will have to be licensed under an outfitter (who is now or will be shortly licensed by the state) and that outfitter will have to sign paper work indicating you have x number of days experience in several different categories. If you are applying for an outfitting permit you have to have had x number of days experience being an outfitter, one of the ways to provide this experience to the state of UT will be to provide copies of your special use permit with the FS and or BLM.
