guaranteed youth tags???

I see on page 88 in the regs that this year youth can apply and get a deer and cow elk tag guaranteed for most units??? Is this right? and the season is Aug 1 - Dec 31st 2010?

Who knows the details...

Guaranteed "1st time" youth tags and the 10 youth Cow tags in most units are 2 different things.

Details of the "1st time" youth hunts are on page 88.

The 1st time Cow hunt needs to be in a unit with 51 tags minimum ruling out the new 10 tag youth hunts.

i'll wing this off the top of my head, but you need to confirm the #'s

you can pick ANY unit to draw a cow tag in as long as there are 51 tags

and deer is around 201 tags, i should just get my butt up and read the # in the other room.

also i believe there is a garrentees antlerless tag with a # of tags. really you have to get the details if you have a youth that wants to hunt. if it is important, i will get exact #s for you. but it's easy to find. it's important we do that for are younger generation!

depends on the hunt, if you have had an Elk tag before, etc, etc.

read the regulations, the info is right there on page 88.

i'd say yes,as long as you've never drawn a first choice cow elk hunt.
i dont know all the stipulations, but i do know kids who have drawn an ochoco cow tag by using their "garrenteed" [sp??] youth tag
