ok well by now my weekend was going great but i had monday off and had a few hours free so out dad and i went to a different area.
dad gets his first of the year

then my first of the day

5 minutes in the wheat and we had 2! then no more in the wheat so we head to the bedding areas right next to the field. it was very thick cover and i thought i saw a pelvis ten yards away but i confermed it was a stump through the binos but i saw stickers right next to it!!!! only saw it through my binos from 10 yards to! and then i found the match 15 yards away but i was to exited to get pics :lol:
by far my biggest and prettiest whitetail set!
mainframe 5 by 5 with beautiful tall split brow tines and 2 stickers so he is a 6 by 8 and i did have time to score it but i am thinking 170s or better what do u think? and like always the pics dont do him justice

Damn you had a hell of a weekend! Glad to see you found some. You know you have a pile more in that tall grass surrounding the wheat pivots. All I found this weekend was a dink forkie and a dead buck that had shed his antlers then died. Probably a month ago by the looks of it. Looked all over for his antlers with no luck 'till it got dark on me. Huge pedicles on him, no teeth and a roman nose. Can't wait to see what he was carrying. Guaranteed I'll be back Saturday. Thanks for sharing.
