Green Mountain Bull

Got my bull off Green Mountain the second to last day of the season. I think I found the smallest 6x6 on the unit. Lots of elk and lots of fun, I'd be happy to draw this tag again in the future. I even found the infamous Sparhawk Cabin.

Thanks to all those here on MM who were willing to share info - I'm really impressed with the generosity of those on this board. Special thanks to Jshutah and Salmon for all the great info - sorry we never got to connect on the mountain salmon.

Great Bull and cool cabin. Whats the story with the cabin?

The Sparhawk Cabin was apparently the hideout of an old outlaw/bounty hunter in the area.

Lots of hearsay and mystery behind the whole story, but it's still there in really good shape - not totally vandalized or filled with litter. The coolest part are the twisted branches Spawhawk found and hung up to spell his name - still there as of last week...

Cool story thanks for the links to it! I have 10 elk points and need to burn them one of these years. Might have to check out the cabin
