I'm a HUGE fan. Are you? Do a search if'n ya don't recognize some of these. Also pull yer head out.....as it might turn you on to the greatest of all forms of music.

Anyone who posts up anything more on the country side of CDB is a wuss. Anybody who posts ZZ Top is banned from this forum forever......

Here's my list.....in no particular order. Bring back any goooooood memories?

Skynyrd
Molly Hatchet
The Outlaws
Barefoot Jerry
Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Allman Brothers Band
Black Oak Arkansas
Charlie Daniels Band
Marshall Tucker Band
Grinderswitch
Great Southern
Southern Rock Allstars

Love Skynyrd and the Allman's...all bring back some memories except Grinderswitch, don't think I've heard them. Good list though even if I disagree with your ZZ Top review.

I have a "Tractors" cd that i play a lot. Those boys must be from the South, eh? Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train! :)

Oh yea .38 Special! Saw them at a southern rock fest years ago. Great show with he Rosington Collins band, Blackfoot, .38, then Molly Hatchet.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-11 AT 08:13PM (MST)[p]Good job dudes adding in .38 and Blackfoot.

Feleno....Creedence is goooood but is a bunch of LA boys and has nothing to do with southern rock.

A few of the bands are mentioned here:

Well the train to Grinder's Switch is runnin' right on time
And the Tucker boys are cookin' down in Caroline
People down in Florida can't be still
When old Lynyrd Skynyrd's pickin' down in Jacksonville
People down in Georgia come from near and far
To hear Richard Betts pickin' on that red guitar

Chorus:
So gather round gather round children
Get down well just get down children
Get loud well you can be loud here and be proud
And you can be proud here now
Be proud you're a rebel
Cause the south's gonna do it again

Elvin Bishop's sittin' on a bale of hay
He ain't good lookin' but he sure can play
And there's ZZ Top and you can't forget
That old brother Willie's gettin' soakin' wet
And all the good people down in Tennessee
Are diggin' barefoot Jerry and the CDB

Repeat Chorus

And again........yes it is

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?
