LAST EDITED ON May-14-12 AT 01:47PM (MST)[p]I was kind of saving this spot for a sheep eventually but I think this cat will do. This is right over my door to my office at work. I thought the cat turned out awesome so thought I would share it here. I still have to redo the trim around the rock. I am thinking that if I ever get a mountain goat, I will have it mounted dead underneath the lion with his head hanging down over the edge.

Thanks guys. My taxidermist is my good friend, Brad Shaw in Woodland Park, CO. Awesome work and I usually have my stuff back within 6 months. My buffalo is going to be in the works soon.

Cats are one of those things that rarely look "right". Your taxidermist hit that out of the park! That mount is simply outstanding. Thanks for sharing!

I have to agree with those who have said that is one of the best lion mounts they've seen!! You will enjoy that for a lot of years to come.....Do you think you are going to get away without telling the story of your hunt?.... Terry

It's been a long hard ride
Got a ways to go
But this is still the place
That we all call home

I have passed on the nice compliments to my taxidermist which he really appreciated hearing because this was actually his very first mountian lion to mount.

Rather than rewriting the story of the hunt for those who have asked, here's a link to the story and another link to the video when I got back from the hunt. Thanks again.
