Got my buck!!!

Well I wish I had a digital camera then I could just post the pics now but I am just gonna have to scan some of the pics. and post em' that way. It was a sweet hunt this year for me though. I shot him opening night. He is only 22" wide, but he is 22" tall and has 8" to 10" forks all the way around. He has no trash just a straight 4. Not a bad buck though.... I shot him at 47 yds and hit both lungs. I spotted him from the road as we were on our way to hunt a different canyon for the evening. He was feeding and decided to make the mistake of bedding down in a position where I could stalk right in on him without him being able to see me. I was patient enough for him to stand and give me the shot I needed and it was all over from there. Sorry for not having the pics. on here yet for ya'll but as soon as I get them scanned and downloaded I will try and figure out how to post em'. It has taken me five years to draw the tag here in Ut. but I can now start the journey of trying to get an L.E. elk tag...

nice job man, what area was it you drew for your buck?

and boy do I feel for you on trying to draw your elk tag now, I have 5 points now, that is 5 years wasted, I am begining to think a room full of monster deer is better then the 1 time i will draw an elk tag for this god forsaken utah tags

I drew the Vernon West Desert tag. Pretty hard hunt but we saw a lot of bucks opening weekend and most of them were really decent and a few toads. Only 21 tags so not a whole lot of pressure. Anyways I will get some pics. on for ya'll hopefully soon.
