Gold Tip Arrows

I'm pretty new to this William Tell stuff.
I have been shooting Beeman carbons since I got my bow and they seem to shoot pretty good with field points.
A friend who is an avid archer swears by the new Gold Tip arrows.
Any advice on this?

I shoot Vapor arrows, and I like them a lot. My hunting buddy just started shooting the Gold Tip Pro Hunters when he got his Matthews Switchback and he really likes those... I say most arrows that have have been around as long as Beeman, Gold Tip, Easton, etc are all going to be good and it's only a matter of personal preference. Buy half a dozen and see if you like them, if not sell them on eBay and buy half a dozen of something else...

Gold Tips are nice but as already stated all manufacturers who have been around will produce good arrows. If the Bemans you are shooting work then DON'T change. Stick with what works. But back to GT, the only problem I have heard about them is the threading in the inserts is too deep for some broad heads such as Rocket.

I've used them the last 3 years. But another dozen this weekend. My impression is they are tougher than many of the shafts outthere. I've had good luck with them and will continue to use them. I've noticed 2 things that merit mentioning: 1) If you are using a really hard cammed bow, their spine charts can be a little light. For example, with my 70lb Bowtechs, I needed to shoot 7595s rather than the chart recommended 5575. The other thing is to shoot and keep track of where each arrow tends to hit compared to the rest. In any dozen arrow, I find 1 or two that need the nocks rotated or replaced to shoot with rest. Not a big deal--just something I've discovered after shooting them a few years. I've never had to scrap an arrow because it wouldn't shoot--I have had to toss 3 or 4 of the nocks that came with them. In my view, the shafts are so much tougher than some of the others out there that it is well worth the modest inconveinece and expense. When I last shot other brands of arrows, I wasn't profficeint enough to have picked up on such a situation so I can't say I've seen it with other brands. I strongly suspect that would be the case.

I decided to go with gold tips after having hearing raves reviews. I bought a new Mathews and entire new setup so it was like I was starting all over. I shot a moose at 38 yards last year and the gold tip went all the way through...other than the blood it looked like a new arrow and broadhead! If you are already having good luck with an arrow I don't think there is any reason to change unless you think there is a chance it will somehow improve your shooting and hunting?

Go with gold tip pro's you cannot go wrong with this shaft..,
arrows are like anything else the more ya pay the better product you recive, meaning if ya want the very best ya gotta bend over to get it..

I shoot the goldtip 7595 and they seem to do a pretty good job. The only problem is that every once in a while you will get one that isn't as straight as the others so be careful.

If you buy the Pros you will not have a problem with straightness or weight consistency from shaft to shaft. I have shot Gold Tips exclusively for five years without any problems.

Been Shooting Gold Tips for about four years now. Definitely toughest arrow I have came across. Beman and Easton are the same arrow, Beman is owned by Easton, so either is a good choice. Not really a big fan of vapors.

They're an extremely tough shaft. I shoot the 7595s @ 70 lbs. With judo points, I've shot probably a few hundred times @ stumps from 50 - 70 yds for practice while on a hunt without cracking or breaking one shaft. When warming up with broadheads, I've taken a little divit out of one once but it didn't crack when I bent it to an extreme angle....so, I shot it off a mountain top for fun.

They don't seem to robinhood well (except @ a 3d course where someone's shooting a smaller diameter shaft than you) and I've broken probably around 100 knocks...would've thought I'd have a robinhood by now...lol.

I don't think they'll fly as well for tourney shooting as some shafts, but I can't complain...it's a good hunting shaft.

Well I just got a 1/2 dozen Gold Tips given to me as a Birthday gift. I am not too pleased with them at all. I am hunting with the PSE Radial x-weaves. I have shot PSE carbons for years and never had any problems so I think I will stay with them.
