Goat Hunt

Okay guys I want to go on a goat hunt. I live in Utah I would like to hunt anywhere close. Looking for landowner tags or conservation permits let me know if you guys know of any?

By Goat do you mean pronghorn or mountain goat? A pronghorn could be done rather easily, but a mountain goat is going to be a bit more difficult.

Having had the great fortune to hunt both the Pronghorn and the Mountain Goat, I have found them quite easy to tell apart.
Some of the over-used slang would make it seem that they are the same animal. But alas, they are not.
I certainly can see where the confusion can occure when we start calling one animal by the name of another.

Wyoming has a lot of leftover pronghorn tags that you can purchase OTC. They are in units in the eastern part of the state. Almost all of the land there is private but if you're willing to pay a tresspas fee ( $100 -$300 )with a little research you can find a decent place to hunt if you're not looking for a B&C buck. I know someone who has landowner tags in New Mexico. It should be a great year with the wet winter and spring. I think they charge $1200.
