Gillette, WY Pronghorns

Looks like I may have lucked up on a Pronghorn hunt on a ranch near Gillette, WY.

Anybody know of the quality of bucks in this area?? Any info will be appreciated.
Guy says I can expect 13"-15" bucks.
Sounds better than hanging out here, shooting at tiny whitetail bucks in the Carolina's....TIA......

Drew there two years ago and tried to hunt public. That was very difficult trying to decifer what was private and what was not. Did see some really nice bucks though. If you have a ranch then i would say your going to have a blast. Gillette has a big dinner the night before opening and everybody is real friendly, a really good time. Good luck.

The infro about 13-15 inch lopes is correct, so hold out and try for a larger one during the hunt. Most persons hunting WY make the mistake of taking the first decent lope they see and kick themselfs later for not hunting longer and getting the chance to take a bigger animal. It has been a few years since I have hunted that area, but they have decent herds of antelope.
If you get a chance, attend the dinner and meet some of the locals, great chance to get some firsthand infromation on the area and animals. This is one of the reasons I love hunting WY and the people there, I know of several places in WY that put on a dinner for the hunters to show their appreciation of the hunters coming to their area to hunt. Hell ! they even like us California boys.
I am sure you will have a great hunt and experience, in fact you will want to return again.
