Getting close.

Went out looking for a cow elk for my buddy yesterday. Seen alot of deer and some nice bucks. The one that stuck out to me was on about 50 feet in front of me, nice 20 inch 3 point and his right side was hanging out more than usual. No pic but it is looking promising.

are you saying he is giong to shed in not to long?

Well, what I am saying is all shed hunting is comin up close. This buck looked as if he was getting real close. Maybe this is the way he grows but at the same time he might be getting ready. We have found early freshies around the end of Dec. But yet old mother nature works wierd some times. He sure look like he wanted to drop it to me.

Two years ago I found a fresh brown shed during my November mule deer hunt. It had fresh blood on it when I found it.
