Getting a new rangefinder

I am buying a new rangefinder and am curious if anyone has had any experience with the Nikon rifle hunter 1000. There are no reviews on it on Cabela's website. I am also looking at the Nikon Monarch 1200, or anything else in that price range. What do you guys think?

I read through that one and they speak highly of the Nikon 550, but nobody mentions the 1000.

If you can hold off for a couple of months the new Leica 1600 is going to be out and it sounds great! 1600 yard capability, angle, ballistics, temperature and barometric pressure...all for about $800 bucks. Buy once, cry once! Gr8ful Doug is talking orders? NJS

I will pay $300 for yours MB. I wonder if the Leica 1600 will have a lot of problems because of all the new features when they first come out. We will see I guess.
