General Deer Opening Date

Is the opener still October 10th for the general units? I remember a proposal to move it to 10/9 since that is a saturday, but I think it got shot down this spring/summer by the F&G. Just trying to get clarification.

The 2010 rules book shows that general season opening day is October 10th and goes to Oct 31.
I have not seen any thing on their home page to say they have change opening day.
