general deer & elk hunts

I'm looking for info or opinions about the general season deer in unit 43 and the general elk hunt in unit 39. I'm not asking for honey holes, if anyone thought one was better than the other. I've hunted out of fairfield and featherville for deer with good sucess but, know nothing of unit 39 elk. Any info or thought on where to go would be welcomed.
