Fun With Sunday Archery Practice

Hey Sticksboy?
Is that You shooting a Recurve with wood dowells?

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

Oh,
Did I ever tell you Sticksboy?
I love Recurves!

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

I don't under stand how a traditional archery can shoot consistently without coming to a set/consistent anchor point.
One of these days im going to have to give the recurve a try!

Good luck on the hunt!

There are no big bucks in Utah! LOL

Thanks guys... SW I'm not sure if your talking about my anchor or Bbops archer.. :) I do have an anchor point it's not the classic finger at the corner of the mouth but instead the nuckle of my thumb hits the same spot on my jaw each shot. Look at where the tip of my arrow winds up at full draw each time. It's not conventional but I get a cleaner release this way and it feels more natural to me.

I learned to bowhunt on the coast range in Oregon in thick brush. The shot opportunities were fleeting and required quick shooting. I practiced many hours teaching myself to get my shots off quick and accurate. By the time I begin my draw I'm locked in on the target (windage and elevation) and concentrating on the spot I want to hit. When I feel my nuckle hit anchor the arrow is gone...... Terry
