It might shoot a little better than that under a little better shooting conditions..

LAST EDITED ON Jul-23-12 AT 10:01AM (MST)[p]Where did you get that expensive target, LOL! Nice group! I just did a load for my .243 last week and got out one morning when it finally cooled off a little up here. After getting a couple fouling shots off, I put the last 4 right together and don't think I will change anything but the scope adjustment. 33 grains of IMR 4064 with Hornady 100 grain BTSPs in new Winchester cases with CCI primers. I'm a happy camper, but one antelope out in Wyoming won't be too happy come October!

Justr_86 - What is the C.O.L. of the round? I bought a 700 CDL and have tried 175 gr core-loks and 160 gr TSX using R22 at 61 gr. The TSX grouped much better, but not as good as I would like. I assume your Sendero is the same barrel twist and length. I just bought some 160 gr Nosler Partitions, so with the R22 in 59 gr, hopefully I get the same results.

Thanks - Preston

Good group justr. Now move back to the 50 yard mark and try another group.

Just razzin' you justr.:)

Bobcat taught me that.:)

That's nothing. Some clown selling a 7 RUM in the classifieds has tighter groups than that at 800 yards. Might wanna get ahold of him for some pointers.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-25-12 AT 06:09PM (MST)[p]WHAT WAS THE YARDAGE ? LOOKS LIKE A SMALL TARGET FOR 100 YARDS !!!!!

shooter21---I don't know who your question was for, but mine was 100 yards with my Leupold set at 12X. Here is what that Sako .243 will do at 50 yards when I can see the target good, as my eyes are very bad as distances increase. This was 9 shots, 8 of which can be covered with a dime.

"Hey BloodTracker!

How many rounds does it take with a 300RUM?"

Well, it should only take 1. But my trigger finger got to itching when he tried to stand back up so I let him have another $4.00 round. The area he dropped in was heavily wooded and steep just below him. I did not want to experience a pack out from hell. That is why the extra insurance was thrown at him.

I don't Blame you!

They Flinch,they get another Round!

Knock another Roast out of em if you have too!

Piss on Chasin em!

As far as I know, 180 grains ain't too light of a load. This is what made those holes. I used 180 grain Scirocco bullets and they weren't loaded hot. They did more than enough damage to that elk. A little more than I would want to use on a deer! LOL.

looks like a giant entrance hole for the size of the bullet being so much smaller look like exit holes from a 50bmg

Aim small miss small. I turned the scope up to 14 to shoot. The does are small but I can group better doing it like this than the big orange shoot and see
Targets.

The price of NR licenses this days, I like to shoot them 3-4 times at least just to get my monies worth.

Nice group, but not .45". Those holes are .28ea, so ~.75 moa is good though.
