Found Bull

Okay you all. I have had these pictures on my disposable camera for a while. Finally got them developed. This is an interesting find. I found it when we were elk hunting in the fall of 2006. When we came up on it we thought the whole skull was intact, we were wrong. By the looks of it, this bull had gotten into a fight with a bigger bull and the other bull busted its right antler off all the way down to the skull plate. What do you all think.

I saw this same exact thing happen last year. We watched two bulls going at it. We saw an entire antler go flying in the air and the bull ran off bleeding profusely from his head and running almost in circles at he went away. We walked over and picked up the antler. There was about a 6" peice of skull plate clear to the eye socket still attatched. No doubt this bull would die with his brain exposed like that. I'm sure the blow flies would not waste any time on a free meal like that.
What a sight i'll tell ya, but pretty sad at the same time. Mother nature sure is a real ##### at times!!
