Last November, I videotaped over 180 bucks in a particular area. My plan was to hike MAO and get some great muley sheds. For me shed huntin' can be as difficult as harvesting a monster muley! Honestly, I did better on elk sheds this year!
This post is about all I was able to find:

Also found this old broken-skulled 4x5:

Nice finds but I'm sure not what you were expecting to find. Did you find any recent boot tracks? fatrooster.

No. I started huntin' sheds the first of March...darndest thing, where I was, pretty rugged country/deep canyons...just think the deer had moved on to a different area when time to shed... but where I found my elk sheds and deer sheds-tracks from ATV's, footprints all over...probably explains why I was not able to find any matches. I know a lot of hunters out there, I just thought the earlier I started , the better, but it didn't work for me... also, some frustration to see animals running away in March still packin' both sides! Great fun, anyway..."Hunting, always an adventure!"

I know the feeling. Sometimes hike an area, see tons of deer that have dropped, but no drops. The deer are there, the country is perfect, but I must have been a week late.

I love the back forks on the bottom picture. I will say this for shed hunting... I've found sheds A LOT bigger than any buck I've ever been able to harvest!

On your way up the mountain, don't forget to look back and enjoy the view.
