WELL BOYS???

THEM NEW SMOGGER BELCHERS ARE THIRSTY!!!

WE COULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT BELCHER OUT OF THE 3!!!

JUST WONDERING HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE A NEW SMOGGER DIESEL???

WHATS THE MILEAGE???

EVERYBODY I'VE TALKED TO WITH THE BRAND NEW BELCHERS ARE CLAIMING PISS POOR MILEAGE!!!

AND FOR YOU BOYS THAT HAVE SCRAPPED THE STOCK EXHAUST PIPE & CHIPPED THEM,WHAT KINDA MILEAGE IMPROVEMENTS HAVE YOU SEEN???

THERE ARE SOME NICE PACKAGES OUT THERE THAT WILL BUMP THE MILEAGE & POWER UP AT A FAIRLY REASONABLE PRICE CONSIDERING DIESEL FUEL IS 4.85+ A FRICKEN GALLON!!!

THE BELCHERS WOULDN'T PASS EMISSIONS WHEN THEY WERE GETTING 18-20 A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO!!!

BUT NOW THEY ARE GETTING 12-14 THEY PASS JUST FINE!!!

JUDAS PRIEST!!!

WTF???

TELL ME THE GOVERNMENT AIN'T WRAPPED UP IN THIS $HIT???

LETS HEAR WHAT YOU THINK BOYS & GIRLS???

LAST EDITED ON Jul-21-08 AT 09:36PM (MST)[p]06 dodge cummins with edge chip afi intake exhaust boost control, etc running slighly bigger tire and leveling kit city i am getting between 17-19 highway 20-22 loaded with 27 ft trailer water camp gear atv's etc 14-16 it all depends how you drive as soon as you get on it mileage goes down. brother has a 07 powerchoke and gets 13 city 15 highway and measily 11 towing. his truck only has 10,000 miles on it though cousin has 08 chevy he gets a little better than the ford thank god for the straight six just as much power with better mileage.

I have an older, 1999, with the 7.3 engine. Has been chipped and 3.5" dia. exhaust system, Banks turbo. Still under 50,000 miles and I get 14mpg pulling a 26' trailer. 18-19 empty while going 65-75 down the freeway. Had a recent CA. required smog check and it passed with flying colors.

V10 F350 gas....plenty of power and 15-17 freeway, 12-13 running errons and back and forth to the job...

Depends on the wind when towing..strong wind drops under 10mpg little wind...stays aorund 10-11 mpg...

$6,000.00 cheaper to purchase----.60 cents a gallon cheaper to fill......and no need to dump $2,500.00 on a chip.....

you must have got a special v-10 my buddy had one he got 12 mpg in city and 9 towing ouch i guess that is why he traded it off on a f-150 anybody that paid 2500 on a chip way over paid i paid 800 and the tow mode on this thing is great like having a jake brake

LAST EDITED ON Jul-22-08 AT 09:25AM (MST)[p]Lovin mmy V-10, you know my story Bessy.

She may not have that turbo feel when ya mosh down on her, but she gets there just fine and pushing other gassers out of the way doing so!

And for the price difference between a gasser and a belcher, $8-10K will buy me a lot of gas even at today's prices, not too mention it's about $1 less per gallon than that stinky kerosene is!

Runnin 6" lift, 35" BFG's 2000 super Duty and lovin it!!
I'd buy another one in a heart beat, the newer V-10's have even more horses.

Slam"Punk". ;-)

OK, I've got the V-10 too! But Dang Robb, I've never seen anything higher than 12 empty with a canopy on. How the heck are you getting into the high teens! I think them llama's are pushing in the back there somewhere.

i got a 28 gallon tank and it takes a 1/4 tank to got to strawberry and back right now at 65-70 so 7 gallons on a 56 mile round trip job completely unloaded dont even ask about loaded!

Actually it was my FIL that gave me the heads-up about the V10.

He and my MIL would come out from Wisconsin every spring and he would be bragging it up that he would use cruise control towing his 24ft trlr across the 'flat states' on his way here and get around 12-13 miles a gallon.....

My '99 F350 4 door would try and kiss 16 on the freeway but never did....

My '05 F350 Regular cab french kisses 16 on the freeway..ha

I back it down from 78 to 65 on the cruise control and it is a big difference...

I figure I am saving $1 a minute of 'slower travel' and that I arrive maybe 15 minutes later going a little slower.....depending on my travel distance...
