We have a huge predator problem, coyotes, bears, lions, our biggest problems facing the survival of mule deer. I wish we could bring back poison.

I saw a video a few days ago where a guy was setting in a tree stand and a big bobcat jumped on and took down and killed a mature whitetail doe. Surprised me..I never woulda thunk !

One big reason why San Juan Elk Ridge never gets better for deer despite the low tag numbers is the predators. Every night you can hear packs of coyotes howling in every direction. Bears are everywhere, and even though you don't see them much, bobcats and mountain lions are plentiful there.

Need to just do it. At some point we as deer lovers need to take control to help them. Many of our states don't care about them.
