I have a two pronged shoot through rest. I'm going to start fletching all of my own arrows. What would you guys rather shoot, straight vanes or vanes with a 1 degree offset? I like the idea of the 1 degree offset because of the stability in flight and I don't think I'll lose that much speed but I also don't want to have tuning problems with the vanes not clearing the rest.

Unless you are fletching with the 5" vanes I dont see a problem with a 1 or 2 degree offset,2" to 4" vanes I know there won't be a problem unless your prongs are set really close on your rest,I have been fletching and shooting ofsets for years and have never had a problem with interference at all and have even shot 4" 4 fletch on my tm hunter rest as long as the prongs are not set too close,I usually set the prongs on my rest to cradle the arrow about 3/8 of the diameter,That usually has enough clearance between the prongs to clear everything I have ever fletched,I am currently using the 2" blazers with a 2 degree offset and they shoot great for me and I have no clearance problems at all, Fletch a couple arrows with the offset you have in mind and give them a go and see, If not its not that big a problem to strip them back off and go straight other than a few cents for the vanes and time.

Good Luck and hope it works out for ya,

IMO....if you plan on shooting any kind of long yardage....40/50/60+ yards, 1 or 2 degree vanes will do nothing but help your set up....The helical will definitely help fixed blades fly straigher. Blazers with off set are good to use with a bisquit.

Fletch with 2 degree offset and you won't have any problems with clearance once you get your nocks aligned.
