fletching advice.

I am planning to start fletching my own arrows, but I have some some question first. I bought some 2 "blazers to put on them. I have since talked to the guy at the pro shop and he said that they would not stabilize the arrow with a fixed broadhead (I shooot thunderheads) at longer distances. Has anyone had any experience with this, or should I return them and get 4" vanes? thanks

I shoot a fix blade broadhead with blazer vanes and have no problem. I shoot wacems and they are alot smaller than thunderheads but that is what blazer are made for is a fix bladed broadhead. I say give em a try.

That's funny. Apparently the gentleman you talked to doesn't have any experience with blazers. Someone probably told him that they don't work good. I'll tell you from my own experience. They WILL in fact stabilize an arrow at longer distances. Once I get into full hunt mode and shoot daily. I will at least once a week shoot several broadhead tipped arrows from 80-100yds. I have no flight issues with my setup. Several of my buddies also shoot blazers with no problems. The only issue you may have is that they are finicky to get to stay on the arrow. But once you figure it out. They will stay just fine.

Just a repeat but that is the idea behind Blazers. I would question the word "pro" in this proshop.

Use them with confidence.

Thanks for the advise I put them on and went shooting this morning. Wow. Maybe it was just a good day, but my groups were tighter then they have ever been, even out to 60 yards. I still need to try them with my broadheads so I will keep you posted.
