fishing on Monroe

I was on Monroe Mountain last weekend and was fishing a lake called Barney Lake ... we caught some nice fish but Im not sure what kind they were they had the color of a Brown but didnt have the red spots... are these called tiger trout or splake? can anyone enlighten us?

We call em natives
They're just a different breed of Brown, Native to that land.

I fished at that lake and caught a tiger trout and a bunch of other trout. I'm sure you caught a tiger trout.

Weve got our eye on 3 or 4 good ones... one that is huge! But I know it gets tougher to find them when the hunt starts... But we are going to hunt hard... Ive taken the whole hunt off for vacation.
