First Rhodes Oryx

Anyone fortunate enough to hunt this past week-end?
Understand numbers were down from previous years but hunters were allowed to checkout at 8 pm Sat. and Sun. as Friday hunt was cancelled due to military activities.

Ya my buddies sister harvested a nice bull Sunday morning. Not sure about numbers I’ll ask him when I see him.

Yes. Success rate was 77% between both OIL and BHO (77% for OIL. 79% for BHO).

Accompanied a friend who had a BHO tag and shot one on the second day.

Oryx are like any other 4 legged critter, they herd up more in winter months. Right now they are spread out across the range.

We saw approximately 55 animals in 2 days of hunting (could not hunt Friday afternoon).

Could have shot several "double straight horns".
